An exciting day of activities unfolded in Peoria Heights as children of all ages gathered for the second annual Cycle into Spring. The event, organized by the Kiwanis Club of Peoria Heights, took place at Tower Park and provided a variety of engaging experiences for young participants. Among the highlights were free bike helmets distributed to attendees, an interactive obstacle course featuring stationary bikes, and complimentary bike tune-ups. These offerings aimed to promote safety and enjoyment while fostering a sense of community among families.
In addition to the main attractions, the organizers added a special touch by raffling off four bicycles, sparking excitement among the attendees. According to Ben King, president of the Kiwanis Club of Peoria Heights, the event attracted approximately 150 children. He emphasized that such gatherings serve as powerful tools for uniting families and encouraging collaboration within the community. Looking ahead, the Kiwanis Club plans to host another significant event, the Barstool Open, scheduled for June 7.
